E100 - E200 Food Colorants


E100 - Kurkimin: It is a natural food colorant obtained from beet and Curcuma longa - isolated from Curcuma domestic. It has a color scale from yellow to red depending on the pH.

E101 - Riboflavin: Yellow colorant obtained synthetically from commercial yeasts. Its daily intake is 0.5 mg / kg over body weight.

E102 - Tartrazine: It is a yellow colored, synthetic azo dye. Pure tartrazine has no known side effects.

E104 - Quinoline Yellow: It is a yellow, non-synthetic azo dye soluble in water. There is no known side effects.

E107 - Yellow 2G: It is a yellow, synthetic azo dye that dissolves in water. It is used in mayonnaise. Its use is restricted.

E110 - Sunset yellow FCF: It is a yellow, synthetic azo dye soluble in water.

E120 - Carmine, Carminic Acid, Cosinal: Red color natural food colorants obtained from Dactylopius coccus insects. E120 (i): Pure colorant, E120 (ii): Crude extract

E122 - Azoburine: Red, synthetic azo dye.

E123 - Amarant: It is a red, synthetic azo dye that dissolves in water. Its daily intake is 0.5 mg / kg over body weight.

E124 - Ponso 4R: It is a red, synthetic azo dye that dissolves in water.

E127 - Erythrosine: It is an azo dye that dissolves in water, contains red synthetic iodine. There are side effects in foods depending on the concentrations of use. In high concentrations, it can impair iodine metabolism.

E128 - Red 2G: It is a red, synthetic azo dye that dissolves in water. Its daily use is low. It is used in confectionery and meat products.

E129 - Alura Red: It is a red, synthetic azo dye soluble in water. Some of the compounds in the mixtures may be mutagenic; therefore, its use is limited to a few products.

E131 - Patent Blue V: It is a blue, synthetic azo dye that dissolves in water. Rarely, allergenic effects may occur, depending on the concentrations of use in foods.

E133 - Brilliant Blue FCF: It is a water soluble, blue, synthetic azo dye. It rarely has side effects. It is used in ice cream.

E140 - Chlorophyll: A food color commercially obtained from nettle, grass and alfalfa, naturally occurring in all plants and algae. There is no known side effects.

E141 - Chlorophyll Copper Complexes: Commercially obtained from nettle, grass and alfalfa. Green food colorings; E141 (i): water soluble, E141 (ii): oil soluble

E142 - Bright Green BS: It is a green, synthetic azo dye that dissolves in water. It has side effects such as allergies and anemia.

E150 - Caramel: It is obtained by dry heating and burning sugar. It has a color scale from brown to black. It is water soluble.

E151 - Gloss Black BN: It is a water-soluble, black, synthetic azo dye. Its daily use is low and limited.

E153 - Vegetable Carbon: Black, water-insoluble colorants obtained by burning vegetables. It is used as a filtration agent.

E154 - Brown FK: It is a water-soluble, brown, synthetic azo dye. Its use is restricted with some fish products.

E155 - Brown HT: It is a water-soluble, brown, synthetic azo dye. Its use with confectionery and bakery products is restricted.

E160a - Carotenes: Commercially obtained from carrots. Its structure varies according to plant species. It is used in many products and has no known side effects.

E160c - Paprika Extract: Obtained from bell pepper (Capsicum annuum) as a red food coloring.

E160d - Lycopene: Commercially obtained from tomato. Dark red is one of the natural food colorants.

E161a - Flavoxanthin: Commercially derived from buttercup (Ranunculus sp.), "Flavoxanthin" is used as a yellow food coloring. It is used in confectionery.

E163 - Anthocyanins: E163a cianidine; red, E163b delphinidin; blue, E163c malvidin; pink,

E164d - Pelargonidin; orange, E164e peonidine; red-brown

E165f - Petunidine; dark red

E170 - Calcium carbonate: The white colorant used for coating the surface is a natural metal.

E171 - Titanium dioxide: It is a natural white mineral. It is used to separate the products into layers and to cover the surface.

E173 - Aluminum: It is a silver gray colored, natural metal. It is used only for surface coating.

E174 - Silver: Natural metal, silver colored, one of the colorants used for surface coating.

E180 - Litholrubin BK: They are red colored, synthetic azo dyes. It is used in cheeses.

E181 - Tannins: Commercially obtained from acorns or synthetically. It is used in yellow - white color range. It is used in beverages and confectionery.
